regional movements in Castilla-La Mancha

The birth of Castilla-La Mancha as a political entity is produced by the Statute of Autonomy of 1982, however, are not new attempts to provide identification symbol La Mancha own. There are precedents in the various proposals for regional symbols that meager regionalist movements Mancha (cores that were restricted to provincias de Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca y Toledo, y que además tenían su origen en Madrid), hicieron en el primer tercio del siglo XX.

provincial territorial organization had in these early proposals of great importance, since the provinces have had a long tradition in the region (there were in Castile from the administrative division, 1590 , except that of Ciudad Real, which would be spun off later than that of Toledo with the initial name of "Province of La Mancha" -). For that reason, the emblems that were proposed for the "region of La Mancha" always included provincial symbols, in general, were confused with those of their respective capitals. However, in the flag manufactured from Albacete, each of the provinces was represented only with the color of their respective field shield, placed in geographical position: black for Toledo (assuming that the eagle sword that supports his shield), Cuenca red, blue Ciudad Real, Albacete and white, and curiously, with the royal coat of arms of Alfonso XIII in the middle. This shield has been replaced in some circles after a five-pointed yellow star.
