Campaign
The hanging houses wrapped in gift paper and a big red bow. This is the shocking start of the campaign "Stay with Cuenca " aimed at promoting tourism in Cuenca as an attractive and surprisingly, as a gift to visitors. It starts also with the desire to seize the opportunities brought by the arrival of the AVE that connects Madrid and Valencia Basin, the first and the third English city.
The campaign, funded by the Diputación Provincial de Cuenca and managed by the Fundación Turismo de Cuenca, will last until next October and includes new promotional initiatives, especially significant in the final section, designed by the specialized company " Pantry." These include competitions on the website ( http://www.quedateconcuenca.com/ ) where participants can access real gifts as weekend trips dedicated to culture, gastronomy, leisure and adventure ...
This new aspect of the Hanging Houses, as most important monument and symbol of identity, is maintained for the next two weeks. The presentation took place today at the Parador Nacional de Turismo in the presence of numerous media outlets and national Cuenca. The event also counted with the assistance, among others, the President of the Diputación Provincial, Juan Avila, the president of the Fundación Turismo de Cuenca, Borja Garcia, and director of The Pantry , Alfredo González.
Avila noted that the first impression "is absolutely spectacular " and he was "happy and satisfied has started the promotion campaign in the capital and the province of Cuenca to the County Council undertook a few months ago. " Stay with Basin is part of a Tourism Promotion Plan of the province as may be financed through an agreement signed last week between the Provincial de Cuenca and Tourism Foundation. The agreement provides for a contribution of 509,500 euros from the provincial institution from the surplus achieved last year. The Tourism Promotion Plan also includes agreements with RENFE to cheapen and facilitate access to Cuenca via AVE, primarily from stations in Madrid and Valencia, with a lower price by 50% at the usual rates for a minimum stay of two nights between week. It also is negotiating with tour operators to market online package tours in order to promote and help sell Basin as a tourist destination. ******************************
